Loved your whole article,and the lace bookmarks.My fave place to read is an old wooden bench in my little kitchen...I've padded it with a few old quilts and some pillows;like to sit and read with a cup of coffee...my three cats always jump up when I sit there and lay in my lap and on either side of me...my little bubble of happiness for the day or night...

I read while I do my indoor cycling. I am retired so I read at night when it's all quiet and my husband is not sleeping yet. I read from my computer, or a book, or my phone. I would read stories to my 6th graders and when we had reading time, I would read my book also.
Reading while cycling sounds like a great way to activate both body and mind! And you reminded me of how much I loved being read books and reading time at school. Thank you so much for taking the time to comment, Roberta!
These days I have resorted to more electronic books but it is certainly not the same as flipping the pages, highlighting with a marker, side comments etc which I miss

This work is so timely in that reading is becoming very caption oriented and pleasure is sought in so many ways, wherein one can just sit with a book and be happy in reading and going to places with the writer!
